Just yesterday, I was driving in my car and I was surfing through the channels when I came across an interesting talk show.  The host was breaking down the elements of what goes into the beloved flavor of the season we all love – Pumpkin Spice. Well, according to this radio host, there is actually NO pumpkin in pumpkin spice – who knew? It is a curious mix of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and clove!

The reason we are so drawn to this fall flavor, and scent, is the comforting memories it stirs in our minds and emotions.  Just the mention or whiff of it will take us back to cherished memories with family and friends.
